The tool is tipped upside down to see how the ball bearing in the Shell Helix Ultra used oil chamber moves more easily and at only slightly reduced speed compared to the fresh oil, indicating enhanced viscosity control. Whereas the latest industry standard used oil, ball bearing flow is constrained, indicating signs of oil degradation.
